Pediatric Nursing Canada






A pediatric nurse is a specialized nursing practitioner that provides care to infants, adolescents and children. To practice in this specialized field in Canada, all prospective nurses must already be a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario and similar licensing schools outside of Ontario.




PN's (pediatric nurses) are responsible for preforming multiple care tasks on children of all ages, typically seven and under. These tasks can include but are not limited to:

  • Exams
  • Check-ups
  • Injury Diagnosis
  • Needles
  • Blood Work
  • Personal Care
  • Sterilization

and many other additional care tasks.
